New Year, New Look

Sydney Fenkell
Editor In Chief, Proscape Post

As I sit here writing from our new headquarters office in Horsham, I can’t help but think back to last summer. As a company, we realized that we had outgrown our old office, and it was time for us to move to a bigger space that could accommodate our expanding team.

It was then that we decided that our office location wasn’t the only thing in need of a change. Our corporate look, including our website and logo, was also due for a refresh.

Nearly six months later, 2014 is here! We’re finally settled into our new headquarters and are ready to share our updated website and new logo with you. They say that the New Year is a time of new beginnings, and we hope that 2014 has created some fresh starts for you, too.

Now when you head over to proscape.com, you’ll notice lots of information about the growing importance of mobile apps for marketing and sales. We hope that you can use it to convince your clients or fellow brand marketers that it’s time to create their own apps. If they want to learn more about Proscape, you can now direct them to our About Proscape section. This same section also includes a News and Events page where we’ll be sharing all of our latest happenings. Additionally, we’ve made our website even easier to navigate and have created specific sections for agencies and brands to help you quickly find what you’re looking for.

Among the other highlights, you can find information on turning the data that your apps collect into critical insights on our dedicated Apps to Insights page. We’re also pleased to feature videos on some of our fantastic partners around the world in our new User Stories section. And while we’re on the topic, we’d love for you to star in your own User Story video – please reach out to your dedicated Proscape contact if you’re interested.

Like our new logo?
As for our new logo, it’s featured to the right and at the very top of our updated website. We like to think it better reflects our progressive and innovative culture.

What do you think? We would love for you to leave a comment below or share your thoughts on Facebook. And finally, be sure to check back often for a major announcement coming soon. Our updated look isn’t all that we have in store this month.

Improve your workflow with the AppMachine’s new features

Heather Derby ProscapeHeather Derby
Director of Operations

We hope that you’re enjoying all of the new and enhanced features that we recently added to the AppMachine. As we mentioned in the release notes, many of these new features were designed to help your agency team to collaborate more effectively. With feedback from The Marketing App Cloud community around the world, including leading creative agencies and brands, we’ve identified what we think is the optimal workflow. But don’t worry, if you prefer to keep working as you have been, you’re welcome to do so.

Here’s a first look at how you can optimize your workflow by taking advantage of the AppMachine’s new features:
  • Create your Library: As a first step, create your Library. The new status feature automatically color codes all of your pages as red to indicate that they are “in progress.” While creating your Library, you can now show and hide all slides using the new buttons. At this point, you can add placeholder graphics for your pages and create navigation. Finally, the new notes feature allows you to leave comments about user interface skins and pages, either as personal reminders or for your fellow team members.
  • Review app design with client: Avoid rework by reviewing your app design with your client before you get too far along in the creation process. Once you’ve created a draft version of your app, you can now print a wireframe outline that details the app structure, including its categories, tabs, and pages as well as the associated topics and brands for reporting. In addition to sharing this wireframe outline with your client, you’ll also want to create a few graphic concepts using your favorite design tool for approval.
  • Create your artwork: Now that your client has agreed to the design of your app, it’s time to get started on the artwork. First, the members of your creative team might want to review any existing notes. As they create artwork, they can add it into Google Drive to replace any placeholder images as well as preview normal, over, and down states with an enhanced feature. If they want to leave any notes related to the artwork, they can do so as well. Once all of the user interface skins and pages are finished, your creative team will change their status from “in progress” to “review,” and they will go
In the Library, pages are now color coded to indicate
their status. Red signifies "in progress,"
and yellow means that they are ready for "review."
from being color coded as red to yellow in the Library. With the new status feature, it is even easier for your entire agency team to stay updated on the progress of an app.

AppMachine updated with many new features

Derek Pollock
President

We’re excited to announce that several new and enhanced features are now available in the AppMachine. The updates are designed to make it even more efficient for your entire team to create apps, and we look forward to hearing what you think of the improvements.

Complete release notes can be viewed here

The upgraded features are all based on requests from The Marketing App Cloud community around the world. Those of you who asked for improved workflow management will love a new capability that lets you print a wireframe outline of your app for easy sharing with your Creative Director or client for approval. You can also leave notes in the new notes boxes and mark the status of your user interface skins and pages to keep your team members up to date. Our partners who wanted a better understanding of their billing history will be glad that when submitting a project, you are now provided with the number of billable and non-billable apps, user interface skins, and pages associated with each version of the project. You can also export your billing history to Excel for your records.

Proscape’s flexible pricing plans explained [INFOGRAPHICS]

Michele Raspone
CEO, Proscape Services

Remember the new pricing plans that we announced a few weeks ago? First, we told you that you can now edit flexible units in the AppMachine as many times as you’d like before publishing your app as final. We then unveiled a new pricing model that allows you to create as many apps as you want for the same cost.

We know that each of our Partners and their clients has unique needs – that’s why we now offer three flexible pricing options: the Standard Plan, the Flexible Plan, and the Premier Plan. Now, we want to make sure that you take advantage of the one that works best for you.

To help you better understand our pricing models, we created the below charts and infographics. Check them out to see the benefits of each plan throughout all stages of the app creation process. (You can enlarge the charts and infographics by clicking on them.) And if you still have any questions, your Liaison is here to help.

What exactly is a unit?

All of our pricing plans charge by the unit. We count each page, user interface skin, and app that you submit for processing via the AppMachine as a unit. As seen in the example below, it just takes some simple math to figure out the total number of units that you submit. This means that you’ll always know the cost of your project before it’s complete. What’s more, you can create multiple apps using the same pages and user interface skins and only pay for the additional app units – you’re only charged once to process the pages and user interface skins.
